Group RESERVATIONS & Events

Please understand that we need accurate information about your event to adequately staff the studio and schedule other parties before/after yours. If any information changes at any time, contact us right away so we can better serve both you and our other studio guests.
By hosting a group event at The Mud Room, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

** UPDATES DUE TO COVID PROTOCOLS **

  • All guests must purchase and complete a project. One non-participating adult chaperone is welcome if all painters are under the age of 18.

  • Food is not allowed in the studio at this time.

  • On the date of your event, if anyone in your group is or has recently been ill please contact the studio immediately. Should the studio become unavailable or you need to cancel your reservation due to COVID-19 or executive orders, we will happily reschedule your event one time to a later date or apply your pre-paid amount to the purchase of any paint-at-home projects within 30 days. If you pre-ordered wood signs or paid for specific projects we will package your items and supplies so you can create your projects at home.

  • By visiting The Mud Room or making a reservation you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

 

NUMBER OF GUESTS
• Our studio has both booths and large family-style tables. Groups with paid reservations will receive a private booth/table to themselves. Smaller groups may need to share a large table with other guests in the studio and therefore will not be required to rent a table. Larger groups will be divided between 2 or more tables.
• Our Party Room holds up to 16 people (up to 12 to create wood signs). If you have a group of more than 16, please contact our staff to discuss different options.
• Due to space restrictions, we reserve the right to charge $10/person for additional guests who are attending but not creating a project. If the studio is at capacity, we may also be required to ask non-participating guests to leave the studio in order to ensure the safety of our guests and provide the best learning experience for any attendees.
• Confirm the final number of guests in your group at least one week in advance so we can prepare for your party.

RESERVATION FEE
• A reservation fee is required to guarantee your table(s) are saved just for you and your friends!
• Payments are non-refundable and will be forfeited for cancellations or no-shows. We may not be able to accommodate rescheduling requests received less than 10 days in advance.
• If you would like to guarantee additional studio time or space, per our guidelines above, please confirm with our staff that these additional options are available before making your payment.

FINISHED ITEMS
• Guests may pick up their own items, or you may designate one person to pick them all up. Just let us know what is most convenient for you before your guests begin to check out at your party.
• Painted pottery will be ready to pick up in approximately one week. Glass fusing can take up to two weeks. Wood signs can be taken home the same day.
• Please pick up projects within 30 days of your pickup due date. Your pickup date will be given to you at checkout.

PHOTOGRAPHY
• Occasionally our staff may take photos of guests and/or their creations. By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you also give The Mud Room permission to photograph any attendees at your party or their artwork, and the right to use, publish, reproduce and disseminate any photograph or other likeness of any guests or artwork obtained in connection with your visit to the studio without pay or compensation to you or any guests attending.

PRICING
• No more per person studio fees! Reserve our semi-private PARTY ROOM or one or more tables in our Studio.
• Reserve a STUDIO TABLE for $10 for up to 4 guests. Upgrade to a larger table for up to 6-8 guests for an additional $10.
• Reserve our semi-private PARTY ROOM for $50 for up to 16 guests.
• Pottery, wood, and glass PROJECTS are priced individually and not included in the reservation fee.
•EXTRA STUDIO TIME: If you need more than the allotted time for your event a $50 Studio Time Rental fee will reserve your party table for an additional hour. Please check with our staff for availability, and pay for the extra time when you secure your reservation. We also reserve the right to charge an additional $25 Studio Rental fee for each half-hour any event goes beyond the reserved time. This applies during Open Studio and after-hour parties.
• SALES TAX is not included.

FOOD & DRINKS
• Non-alcoholic drinks are allowed but must be contained to the table your guests are painting at.
• Food is not allowed in the studio at this time.

USE OF STUDIO SPACE
• If your event is scheduled during Open Studio Hours, we will be open to the public for other guests while your event is going on.
• Expect to spend about 1 to 1.5 hours painting or creating, depending on the size of your group, the project you are making, and the age range of your guests. Requests for reservations over the allotted time must be approved by a manager and will be subject to a $50 Studio Time Rental (see above).

AFTER-HOURS PARTIES
• Parties may be held outside of our Open Studio hours or normally available reservation times if you are expecting 10+ guests.
• Your group’s purchases of pottery, wood, and/or glass projects must total at least $300. This minimum must be reached before any sales tax or reservation fees are applied and does not include gift cards, pottery to go, other services or misc. items.

WOOD SIGNS
• Wood sign paint can stain. Please wear old clothes or bring aprons or smocks if making wood signs. The Mud Room is not responsible for stained clothing or personal items.
